Well, it's been a while... sorry for leaving on a downer. I don't know what got a hold of me... actually, i really can't remember! Oh well, we all have our bad days, right?

Anyways, have you ever come across an ugly beast such as the free will vs. predestination argument? There are good arguments for both sides, but recently i discovered how to solidify the existence of free will. The argument goes as follows:

P1. God created man to love and the have man love Him back, i.e. to have a relationship.
P2. The only way love can exist is to love someone by choice. (There's no such thing as forced love.)

C. Since you need freedom of choice to be capable of love, God created man with free will.

Now, the argument is sound and valid if you believe in premise 1. But as a Christian, how could you not? Does being a Christian not mean you have a personal relationship with Jesus, and therefore, God? There are two parts to every relationship, both dependant on each individual's will to participate. And if we, ourselves, do not have free will, then God can't really call this a relationship, now, can He? If we don't have the freedom to choose God over other things, we cannot love Him. Love without choice ceases to be love all together.
