Love the gas!... LOVE IT!!!!

So it begins... my return to the video store, that is. That's right! As of last monday, i've been in training to become a shift leader at Rogers Video. The whole experience is still kind of unreal. I never imagined working for the competitor, well... ex-competitor. To make matters even more weird, 4 ex-Videoflicks customers came in to rent from my Rogers store. "What are YOU doing here? Do your parents know where you are?" hahaha.... Either way, it's good to be back in the environment i grew up in.

So what happened to WFG? I'm still pursuing it as a business on the side. As it turns out, my shifts at Rogers are mostly daytime shifts, AND i don't work Saturday or Sunday. Perfect.

Montreal was interesting. We got to play in front of A&R reps from Capitol and TVT. They said that a lot of record labels in the US would be interested in us, but there was on criticism. They were a fan of our music, but they said we needed to fine-tune the vocals. I found that believeable, but i didn't think it was that huge of an issue. There are plenty of big bands out there with terrible vocals... I guess we're won't be picked up by Capitol or TVT for the next while, but hey, that's ok. We love what we do, and as long as we keep getting opportunities to play, then we're all good.

So now we've got 2 shows lined up in the next few weeks. On Sunday, October 30th, we'll be in the self-proclaimed, yet severely mistaken, centre of the universe, TORONTO. We'll be opening for Shy as You Like at their CD Release party. So if you're in town, do come check us out. We're at Rancho Relaxo. Then we have a show in Downtown Ottawa at Maverick's on November 4th.
