I just got back from my 3rd interview with Scotiabank. I hope they like what they saw. But i think, from the way the interview went, if they had any reason to not hire me, it'd be for my lack of experience. But still, it's a trainee position i'm going for, so hopefully they'll look past the inexperience and see the potential.
Other than that, i guess lately i've been learning to trust God throughout this whole ordeal. I mean, he's the one in control of everything. Do i really need to worry when i know he's got everything under control? I guess not, when i think about it. God knows me better than i know myself, i'll just lift this matter up to Him and he'll put me wherever i'm most suited, in order to bring Glory to His name.
On a completely different note, ever heard of this movie called "The God Who Wasn't There"? Terrible movie. It's documentary done by this guy who seems bent on exposing the Christian faith for what it "really is"... a myth. He says that Jesus Christ never existed. How does he go about proving this? By postulating that Christianity and the death and resurrection story bears a striking resemblance to other myths from other cultures, therefore, Jesus Christ must be a myth, too. Then he goes around interviewing Christians coming out of a Billy Graham crusade, asking them if they've ever heard of the myths he's comparing Christianity to. Of course, most people don't know about them. So therefore, he concludes that Christians don't even know where their faith came from. Of course, he's assuming that Christianity did stem from ancient Greek mythology.
Another thing that bothered me is his argument that Christians have an obsession with blood and violence. How, you ask? Simply because The Passion of the Christ, by far the bloodiest and most violent movie about Jesus ever made, was also the highest grossing in terms of box office sales. Based on that fact alone, he concludes that Christians are obsessed with blood and violence.
And those aren't even the most aggrevating parts of the movie....ugh! don't watch it... complete waste of time.
hai... so many things wrong with this movie and this guy. I feel sorry for him. I really do.

there's no need to be so bitter about Christianity - if you don't want to believe it - just leave it alone! is that so hard?
or maybe that guy's response is actually a result of OUR actions. (the church's) if we were functioning the way God intended - we would silence ppl by our/His Love.
